I’m back at Cowork 4400 in Vila Nova de Gaia, and I’ve been bringing something extra with me: specialty coffee and an Aeropress.

The idea is simple. I bring freshly roasted beans, grind them on the spot, and brew a few cups for whoever’s around. No rush, no shortcuts.

The Aeropress is a great tool for this — it’s portable, forgiving, and produces a clean, full-bodied cup in under two minutes. Pair it with a hand grinder and decent beans, and you’ve got something worth pausing for.

There’s something I like about the ritual of it. Coffee doesn’t have to be something you gulp down between meetings. It can be a moment — a reason to step away from the screen, chat with the person next to you, and actually be somewhere for a few minutes.

The cowork becomes a better place when there’s a reason to gather. Coffee is a good reason.
